Can you turn customer wishes into clear requirements for our products?

As a Requirements Engineer, you translate customer wishes into clear, structured requirements and describe how new and existing products need to be changed or expanded. You also make sure that new functions and changes fit logically into the products and systems, so everyone knows exactly what needs to be developed and why.

Your tasks as a Requirements Engineer:

  • Create customer‑focused and functional requirements based on input from Sales, Service, and direct customer inquiries, so it is clear what the product must do and which quality standards it must meet
  • Work with product management to decide the value and priority of new functions, using market feedback, sales opportunities, and service insights
  • Have in‑depth discussions with software developers to explain, refine, and translate these customer‑ and service‑driven requirements into clear development tasks
  • Organize and monitor all requirements during the development process, including documenting them in our information systems
  • Maintain, prioritize, and communicate the requirements backlog, ensuring the development team has a clear and up‑to‑date overview of what needs to be delivered next
  • You will be part of a truly international environment, working closely with teams and customers from diverse countries and cultural contexts

What we ask from you:

  • A completed bachelor’s or master’s degree in a technical field, such as Agrotechnology, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Industrial Automation, preferably with interest in the agricultural sector
  • Knowledge of or interest in measurement and control technology and/or technical automation
  • Familiarity with concepts such as machine learning, data-driven decision making, or intelligent automation is a plus
  • As English is used throughout our daily work, we expect you to communicate fluently and confidently in English
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • You communicate clearly and have practical insight
  • You work in a structured and accurate way and can explain concepts clearly

  • A direct contract with Hotraco, with the prospect of a permanent position
  • A starting salary between € 4200- € 5000 gross/month, based on the Metalworking Industry collective agreement
  • 25 vacation days and 13 additional days (ADV) based on full‑time work
  • An excellent pension plan
