Product Manager
Can you translate market needs into product strategy?
As a Product Manager, you combine strategic market insight with strong leadership. You identify customer and market needs, turn them into a clear product strategy, and guide the Product Management team in delivering valuable, competitive, and future‑proof products. You work closely with Sales, Service, R&D, and international colleagues to ensure our product portfolio evolves in the right direction—commercially, technically and strategically.
Your tasks as a Product Manager:
- Lead and coach the Product Management team, making sure the way of working is clear, the quality of requirements and strategy is high and the team keeps developing
- Build and maintain the product vision and portfolio strategy, using market trends, customer insights and competitor information
- Turn customer and market needs into clear product roadmaps and choose the initiatives that bring the most value
- Work closely with Sales, Service, R&D and Engineering to collect feedback, understand customer problems, and find new business opportunities
- Share product plans and priorities with internal and external stakeholders to keep everyone aligned
- Review and challenge product proposals from Product Managers to ensure they fit the strategy and are relevant for customers
- Monitor product performance and make data‑based decisions to improve products; represent the portfolio in customer meetings, events, and partner discussions
What we ask from you:
- A completed bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field (for example Engineering, Business, Industrial Management, or another technical area)
- Having experience in agriculture, especially poultry, is a significant plus
- At least 5 years of experience in Product Management, preferably in a role with direct customer or market contact and experience in leading or mentoring product teams is a strong plus
- Good understanding of customer needs, market changes and technology trends and how this in total shape a strong product portfolio
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to align different departments
- A structured, analytical, and strategic way of working, combined with practical problem‑solving skills
- Ability to work well in a global organization with colleagues and customers from different cultures; English proficiency skills are a must
- Interest or knowledge in AI‑driven technologies, data‑based decision making, or intelligent automation is an advantage
What we offer:
- A direct contract with Hotraco, with the prospect of a permanent position
- A salary between €5750- €6500 gross/month, based on the Metalworking Industry collective agreement
- 25 vacation days and 13 additional days (ADV) based on full‑time work
- An excellent pension plan
- Travel allowance (0.23 euro per kilometre)
